Honestly, I think the basis of the argument is a bit thin.

Mind you that in the original drawing the size of the egg was about that of the 
the letter "O" you see in this mail on your screen. So, arguing that the artist 
drew an egg, but not quite as ovoid as a chicken's egg would be, and not quite 
spherical either, seems to be putting a lot of faith in his abilities.

I wouldn't rule your interpretation out, but pending further support, I still 
think the four characters show the Monkees in concert.
