You don't need to apologize, Brian. This forum is not (should not be) 
hostile in any way to antagonic new ideas, however bold or farfetched 
these might seem. Where else would progress come from?

On the contrary, it is stimulating - at least to me- to see people 
venture their speculations so freely. And everyone, like Jacques, 
should be able to feel free and welcome to play the Devil's Advocate, 
as well. How else would we test the solidity of those ideas?

Expect tolerance and yet, debate.
