This is our friend the goat.

I apologise for the ridiculously long URL, but this is
the best picture of a goat I could find.  In most
photographs, the hooves are obscured by grass.

Yes, those legs look just fine.  It would be
implausible if the rear legs were bending like our
knees do, which is not an uncommon mistake we make in
drawing animals: but in fact, most quadrupeds
including goats bend their front knees exactly as we
do.  Their hind legs have a different sort of joint,
which makes them fold the other way.  

Speaking from my years of experience spending weekends
out on the farm, and many an afternoon spent drawing
farm animals.  Smile.
