Thank you!  This is what I was attempting to say in
part; that in the Northern hemisphere in winter, as
you cite in your example, the Sun sets less than 180
degrees from its point of rising.  And it is
interesting to observe that latitude is also a factor
to consider; it would be wonderfully useful if we
could hone in on the latitude of the VMs illustrator
by examining these factors against the planetary
configurations described.
