Re: VMs: Souls on a Journey

Hi,

Interesting discussion!

There could be a variety of symbolic meanings hidden in such pictures. I did not really
try and find references, but:

- stars or angels,
- nymphs/nude bodies or souls or spirits (the latter including chemicals).

A star is often associated to in MA with generation at work, which of course is not far away
from a flower signification.

The overall traditional basics remain:

- as above, so below ( stars, flowers),
- all beings are composed with body, soul and spirit.

There is something peculiar too in the "journey" concept, which perhaps is to be linked
with a quest, or a process.

a good point ... in the west a picture of a nude did often mean, the person is
"a soul", is dead (did it?)
If so, it correlates with the türcic point of "holding, keeping a flower", which
directly does mean the same (could it be like "he/she is changing to flowers"?
if I do not mess up things now, flowers was sometimes equal to stars, too)
