Nothing to be mystified about. It's an outgrowth of the Cthulhu Mythos,
well known of fans of Howard Phillip Lovecraft. Miskatonic University,
the Great Ancients, Shub-Niggurath, the Necronomicon and all that.
The webmaster used Gabriel's Voynich fonts too. He might have used
alphabets out of Tolkien's "Lord of the Ring" instead or even, any of
those alphabets you find in "Teach Yourself Witchcraft" paperbacks.
But he chose Voynichese. Good on him!
