The same can be said of both "middle letter jumbling" and vowel removal
that most European text has enough redundancy to permit the operations
and still leave enough familiarity for it to be readable.

But if you were to combine either of these techniques with any other 
obscuring method I seriously doubt that you would still be able to read 
the text off the page.
