There are a books and articles in print by specialists of this sort.
Perhaps someone could take it upon themselves to identify some candidates,
write some of them and ask them what they think. I think these would have
to be essentially private contacts, as would be any contacts between
interested parties and the Beinicke, with the List membership, like the
rest of the world, having to wait for published findings. I don't think
the paradigm for academic investigations of this sort includes the
vigorous participation of a list full of Voyneurists. As a practicing
Voyneurist, I certainly hope some members of any such project will be
inclined to chat, but that may be a bit more than it is fair to hope for.
Actually, I am a little surprised that no serious investigations are in
hand (as far I know). It is possible that there are conditions on access,
or limits on what the relevant sort of specialist can reputably address.
Or it may be a case of overspecialization. If you specialize in German
manuscripts of the 15th Century, the Voynich Ms may seem like something
where your knowledge would be of no particular use.
