No, they show it also in other plants and characters. That brings me to my major problem here: they use many graphics which show the character developement and I can use text here only. So, please be patient. I will transfer this question to their forum.

You are right, they show a and o as pictograms as well.

They sent f3r yesterday. Until now there is no change. But if the meaning becomes more detailed the symbols in the VMS become more detailed, too.
Example:
- look at the '8' at f1r first paragraph last word second character
- look at the '8' at f3r first paragraph second row third word first character
The symbol on page f3r contains a 'heart'.
Second example:
Compare the symbol for 'human being' I mentioned yesterday (first row on f1r, last word) with the same symbol f3r, row 6, last word, symbol 4. The symbol on f3r contains a 'heart' again.

As my time is limited it will take some postings to show you what they did.
Today new:
First character f1r (the first character of the VMS): please zoom it (400%). You will see the head of a snake on the left (with two eyes and a tongue). The snake is the symbol for Kundalini (serpent power). So, this symbol has something to do with Kundalini. To draw this sign: straight up, to the right, horizontal line, loop, down, left, horizontal line, down. Straight up means: Kundalini rising up the spine. Horizontal line = level (main) = chakra. Loop = turning back.
The concept of chakras (very, very, very short version): 7 chakras, 3 main chakras in the VMS (see also: Paracelsus). The main chakras are: root (red color), heart (green), crown (golden/white). They are connected by Kundalini. Look at the plants in the VMS with this concept of colors and you will see more.
Home of the serpent is the 'os sacrum' at the bottom of the spine. Look at the first character of the second paragraph (the big red one). The shape shows the 'os sacrum'. Now look at the first character of paragraph 3: you can see the serpent rising from the 'os sacrum'.
More to come.
