I had come across the Rumanian site in the
past, and it of course has images of all of the pages, which is terrific.
The Czech site, however, I had not seen before. I humbly disagree with
Viorica Enăchiuc's interpretation of the document, so I
am not eager to use that transcription.
I understand Enăchiuc believes the document
to be written from bottom to top. I can't really disprove this, except to
note that in some images where "speech scrolls" come out of peoples' mouths,
they go down from the mouth, rather than going up. Also (hopefully not
beating a dead horse) I understand Enăchiuc believes the document to discuss
Dacian history, but many of the pictures correspond in a great many details to
episodes from the Gospels, in particular Matthew. (Look at the image on
right-hand side of page 15 and read Matthew 21:4 - 21:10).
If there is not a Rohonczi list yet, I will
start one on Yahoo. I don't want to clutter this list with too much
discussion about the RC, since I believe them to be pretty different
problems.
