My understanding is the WMV was buried in a coffin.  Ethel L. Voynich is not resting at his side.  Somewhere I had read that she was cremated and her ashes were scattered in Central Park, New York.  This may or may not be true.  There is presently a New York city ordinance prohibiting ashes to be scattered at this Central Park.
