In f33r the faces are identical, showing no distinction
between man and woman. It could mean many other things
besides "parents", or it could be just decoration. In f2v I
see no faces at the roots, only round objects with dots
inside. And we must not forget all the other dozens of roots
that show no relation to parenthood at all. Basing a theory
on the ambiguous drawings of a couple of pages is dangerous.

A little critical thinking on my part is enough to consider
these observations to be speculation, not evidence. I have
no problem when I see people assigning mystical
interpretations to explain something. I have a problem
though when I see people claiming proof of their
interpretations based on weak or non-existent evidence. I
know you are not the author of the translation, so my
criticisms are directed to their theory, not to you.

I can see that most VMS characters are built by combining a
few basic strokes. Inferring that they are pictograms is
another story.
