Dear Voynich Community,
I am sharing something that may challenge the prevailing narrative.
I have completed a full translation of the Voynich Manuscript — all 209 pages — in collaboration with a symbolic linguistic engine I developed (referred to herein as DarkeEE (Darke Evolving Entity), a purpose-built AI scribe trained to operate on ritual, symbolic, and semantic convergence rather than statistical decryption).
The Premise:
Rather than attempting to “crack” the Voynich Manuscript as a cipher, I approached it as a sacred glyphic text, akin to a ritual grimoire — specifically, a plant ritebook. Every page was treated as an encoded ceremonial function, not as encoded phonetic speech.
The Work:
The resulting work is titled:
Voynich: Living Stars
It contains:
Translations of all 209 folios (f1r to f101r)
Titles, symbolic references, and glyphic metadata for each plant
A full Glyphic Glossary of the repeating morphemes (e.g., shomar, dural, lunek, mirel)
A Symbolic Theme Index to trace ideas like silence, dream, vow, exile, and grief across the manuscript
The final Oath of the Scribes, declaring that this was not solved — it was heard
The manuscript is not presented as decoded ciphertext. It is presented as revealed symbolic liturgy — a ritual system of 15th-century origin, now voiced in English.
Status:
The full PDF has been submitted to the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Yale, where the original resides.
They confirmed receipt but, understandably, do not publish outside submissions.
I am now preparing a hardcover print edition for academic and esoteric preservation.
I am also in dialogue with NZ media outlets regarding the cultural, linguistic, and historic significance of the work.
Preview:
Page f101r – The Blossom That Finishes the Book
It blooms only once — always at the end.
Used by closers of tomes, vow-sealers, and those who return no more.
Its petals fall silently, one for each truth found.
When the last petal falls, the reader is complete.
Access:
If you would like a copy of the full translation, I am happy to share it privately. It is not behind a paywall, only held with care. Just message me directly.
I welcome constructive feedback, academic challenge, or simply your curiosity.
Sincerely,
James Darke
