It has been claimed many times in recent years, in defense of the Voynich as a genuine work, that it cannot be fake because of the "provenance" found in the Kircher Carteggio. Well in a previous post I demonstrated how this is not acceptable provenance. But still, could Voynich have seen the descriptions in the Carteggio, and created a fake manuscript based on it? My answer is that it is absolutely possible.
