Subject: VMs: Backward scanning

Backward scanning of Italian produced the following word forms. Some English
words were mixed in with the text BTW.

telegraaf, dichiarabe, princapace, seguaci, telegrade, ramadi, telegrado,
aumentragi,
riparaliaia, paio, makubale, uotidiali, dall, abbiamo, aggiudicana,
aggiudicane, aggiudicani,
olandano, capi, corroborara, qualcare, qualcari, casa, caso, soldata,
lanciate, esattaccati,
esattaccato, olandava, nazi, isabel, abbia, lettembre, omnibus, sacritiche,
secchi, lancia,
avambraccio, chadds, stadio, madra, madre, invece, lunedi, nessein,
infedele, infedell,
problema, premi, piena, piene, pieno, bere, interi, bero, olandese, tesi,
concrete, concreti,
poteva, deve, news, oggi, fraggio, dagli, tagna, tagne, tagni, insegno,
marchia, marchio,
show, bblica, dice, immagico, annida, premier, simila, liabile, simili,
filo, regime, biasimi,
primo, adina, ecine, adini, rabbino, martins, cioe, cipi, gira, dire,
uccisi, ucciso, riuscita,
popolarità, televisita, localite, diti, popolarito, locality, fantastiva,
scrive, scrivo, khaldiya,
khadijah, toldo, alia, virgilio, alla, modelle, modelli, allo, sacrifulse,
realta, accolte, realti,
accolto, bomba, ciamma, ciamme, ciampa, ciampi, tempo, emus, ianca, ianch,
ianco
aggiungenda, aggiungende, quindi, squando, idicolinea, cuneo, lerner, unge,
centennio

Unlike when applied to the VMS this technique does not seem to produce
paired word forms. The question is how many of these amalgamated word forms
are understandable in Italian and not just nonsense? What I would really
like to know is how many are actual words. Then if a search of my sample
finds words that are not present but are actual words in Italian then maybe
this rolling effect is a feature of Italian. I know that it definately is
not a feature of English as I have already tested this. If it is also not
present in Italian I will need to rethink my methodology. Anyone fluent in
Italian care to pick out the valid words?

Jeff
