The Leaves of Stars - MS 408

Post by aceninefire »

have been studying the manuscript’s structural patterns and repetitive glyph sequences in-depth. During this process, I explored the possibility that these glyphs may function more like musical or symbolic markers rather than conventional linguistic words. Using a frequency-based mapping technique and pentatonic Gaelic musical logic, I developed a process to convert Voynich glyph sequences into melodic motifs.
This work resulted in an original musical composition titled:
“The Leaves of Stars” — A Tin Whistle Folk Tune Derived from MS 408
The melody was generated entirely from a continuous Voynich passage and structured into verses and a chorus using a Celtic minor-pentatonic framework. My intention was not to claim a definitive decipherment, but rather to explore how the manuscript’s internal patterns may lend themselves to non-linguistic interpretive systems, such as music, mnemonic encoding, or symbolic notation.

I have a MIDI file but can't upload it here.
