I am going to need to take a second look at this later today, due to a
discrepancy that I just discovered. Rumex acetosa may be the correct
reference versus Rumex scutatus.

This folio shows two plants. Here I address the one on the left. This
upside down shield or spear head shaped leaf is most likely Rumex
scutatus which is known as French Sorrel; also referred to as cow's
tongue and looks similar to spinach.
