VMS -- Botany (f37v) Kalanchoe

Here are two plant species (fedtschenkoi and englerii) from the same
Genus (Kalanchoe) that appear to be good candidates for the plant in
f37v. These plants are from Madagascar, not South America. Knowing when
they were first discovered would be of interest. It looks like somebody
found Madagascar while scouting around the African coast for new species
of plants and other interesting treasures (gold, silk, spices, mermaids,
and maybe the edge of the Earth). These botanical suggestions of course
need further examination and analysis, but they do look like strong
possibilities.
