Actually, it seems that IBM did scan all the *negatives* of the VMS
that Beinecke had in its archives at the time. (Those negatives were
created in response to users asking for slides or prints of specific
pages.)

It seems that all the digital images currently availiable at the
Beinecke site were produced by IBM under that project (which
apparently was concluded long ago).
