Hi Dennis,
with the cardboard key you can use as filler any character you like. With
some carefully prepared rules you will produce any staticcal property you
want. The extra characters are masked out while reading an won't distract
you in any way. The beauty of this encoding is, that without key (which can
easily be duplicated from the original one) it is not possible (AFAIK) to
decode the text, because of the ad lib placement/orientation/side choice of
the key. And - you can't even decode the handwritten text with computer.
