 I've seen this, or some version of it, passed around frequently over the
 past two days.  It certainly sounds
 dramatic, doesn't it?  But it is completely made up.  There is no such
 quatrain anywhere in Nostradamus' "Centuries", nor has there ever been.  The
 closest I can find is Quatrain 98 from Century III:
    Deux Royals freres si fort guerroyeront,
    Qu'entr'eux sera la guerre si mortelle,
    Qu'vn chacun places fortes occuperont,
    De regne & vie sera leur grand querelle.
 
   ["Two royal brothers will wage war so fiercely
   That between them the war will be so mortal
   That both will occupy the strong places:
   Their great quarrel will fill realm and life."]
 
 Or perhaps Quatrain 94 from Century IV:
 
   Deux grands freres seront chassez d'Espaigne
   L'aisné vaincu soubs les monts Pyrennees :
   Rougir mer, Rosne sang leman d'alemagne,
   Narbon, Blyterres, d'Ath, contaminees.
 
  ["Two great brothers will be chased out of Spain,
  The elder conquered under the Pyrenees mountains:
  The sea to redden, Rhône, bloody Lake Geneva from Germany,
  Narbonne, Béziers contaminated by Agde."]
 
 In fact, there are NO Nostradamus quatrains that are anything nearly as
 specific as the "World Trade Center" quatrain that's getting passed around.
 They are vague, pithy little sayings with readings that can mean anything to
 anyone depending on how they're read.
 
 Yet every time there is a major world conflict, it seems, someone makes up a
 "new" Nostradamus prediction indicating that it is proof that world war
 three is RIGHT around the corner -- the Gulf War and the bombing of
 Yugoslavia spring to mind immediately.  And yet it never has been.  We seem
 to very quickly forget these past mistakes, and each time breathlessly
 accept the new fakes as genuine simply because we want to believe.
 
 What concerns me is that this sort of thing is actually frightening people.
 Please, do check the sources before passing this kind of thing along.
