Collaboration on VMS

Hello Nick & All the Members,


What i would like to see is the list move to a web
based forum, that way all messages could be threaded
by subject and all history could be fully searchable.

Plus on the Collaboration front take a look at the
Sharepoint team demo located here
http://www.microsoft.com/frontpage/sharepoint/howto.htm

you will need the flash plugin for you browser. Once
the see the demo you will see that it can be very easy
to setup a collaboration website for the VMS. The
Sharepoint comes with Frontpage2002.

I can host/build the forum & collaboration web site to
include all message history.

We could setup these tools so that Jim Reed has member
acceptance authorization and each of us that has a
collaboration project would have the admin rights to
that project.

How does the rest of the members feel about this?

Any Ideas and comments (for flames for using MS
products :)  ) are welcome :)

I?ve recently been thinking about developing ways in
which we (as a loosely coupled group) can better
collaborate.
My plan is (therefore) to (ultimately) adapt this page
to be database 
driven using PHP (or ASP) and SQL, and to allow you to

edit/subdivide/comment on/accept/relinquish
challenges: but first, I?d
like 
a bit of feedback from you all about whether you think
this is heading
in 
the right direction or not. :-/
