herbals, etal.
John Grove and anyone else who may be interested:
I'm consolidating two of my sites into a new site,
that just came up and running. The site is
www.BaconBooks.net.
I've just posted a copy of my transcription
scheme, which will later be placed against the EVA
once Rene's site comes back up and I can get a
copy. I'm almost done transferring my
transcription to a PDF encoded file so it can be
viewed against the Voynich images.
I also have about 200 books that are of direct
historical background interest in relation to the
Voynich - herbals, astrologicals, astronomicals,
antidotaries, ephemiredes, etc. Many are
copyrighted by overly anal libraries, so I've
decided to password the section I'll be placing
them in.
Even at 500mb these old photocopies take a lot of
space, so I usually won't have any more than 25 at
a time, but I'll try to rotate content so you can
view each of them. Also, my upload bandwidth is
fairly small, so it takes some time to upload
these. I'll try to place 2 or 3 a day on the site
until I approach critical storage limitations.
If you desire a password for this section, you
need to send me an e-mail request, with your
desired username and password so I can set up your
access account.
You'll need either Acrobat Viewer or eBook Viewer
to view these files. The one thing I like about
eBook viewer is that when you shut it down and
reopen it, it goes back to the last page you were
on when you left. Nice for us people who fall
asleep at the wheel many times!!!!!
Anyway, there'll be a few things of interest to
the Western Thinkers in the crowd, and I hope you
find your experience enjoyable.
