Good reproductions are rare.

As far as I know that agrees with the classic Newbold theory
that the MS describes tissues as seen through a microscope.
I agree that *to us* there is a very organic "look and feel", but would
the author's contemporaries also have seen it that way? That's why
I think we should collect as much comparative evidence as possible.
