VMs: Re: DIE WELTWOCHE
Hi, all! I have been silent for a long while but I am still lurking in the
background and watching whatever is going on among the steadfast
Voynichists. I noticed that Christoph is at Russian studies at Harvard, so
probably he speaks (or at least reads) Russian. If that is so, I'd like to
inform him (and whoever else may be interested) that my article in Russian
about the Vms has been accepted for publication in the Kontinent journal,
which is being published in Moscow. It was supposed to be in No 108, but
for unknown reasons was postponed. The editor has recently asssured me that
the article will be published in one of the forthcoming issues, but he did
not specify in which. Regarding Christoph's questions, my co-author in the
Letter Serial Correlation method, Brendan McKay, is prone to think VMs is a
hoax, which view I do not share. I share, though, (although not fully)
Frogguy's view, expressed many months ago in a private message that Vms may
never be deciphered. I view the Chinese-Vietnamese version quite doubtful
for obvious reasons. The interest to Vms is born out of curiosity which is a
feature of human nature, the same which is the engine of all sciences. Best
to all! Mark
