On a semi-serious note, perhaps we should searcj the manuscript archives
for marginalia to compare with the michiton text and the VMS marginalia?
Has anyone done this? In fact, what sources are there on medieaval
marginalia? I'm sure there must be half a dozen learned theses on the
subject, it's an ideal candidate for a PhD ...
