In the modern civil calendar of India the months
are named after Nakshatras (constellations) which corespond
to lunar mansions in other systems and of which there are 27.
The first day of the first month Caitra corresponds
to March 22 in the Gregorians calendar. Interestingly,
however, this Nakshatra falls in the sign (Rasi) of Libra (Thula).

Obviously, there are many local and historical variations
of Indian calendars Meena (Pisces) may also have been
the name of the month roughly corresponding to March 
at some point.
