Then, the occurrence of a word like qokeey in
the odd way we are observing could be explained
in various different ways (name of a region,
the word 'sea' or water). The weakest point of
this theory is that there aren't any other words
obviously behaving in this manner.

So, it is one thing to see this odd behaviour, it
is quite another that it seems to affect only one
word.

I don't think it does just affect one word. Qokeedy is quite similar, as I say on my site, and I have just run my script on qokain.

Qokain has 95 occurrences in the stars section, and no fewer
than 24 of those are on a single page (111v), while six
pages have no occurrences of qokain at all.

As I said when we last discussed qokeey, I think your idea
of a name or noun with specific meaning like 'sea' is very
plausible.
