VMs: Czech manuscripts

COuld not find any illustrations from Vaclav's IV bible. But stumbled on
this interesting illustration from a Czech manuscript:

It's from a "book of prophecies" from Olomouc, 1327 (Czech article):
http://www.svkol.cz/konf/98hrad15.htm
The article describes some biblical numerology, and the reasons for the
arabic clothing of the pagan philosophers in medieval manuscripts.

An interesting tidbit from this article is about Jan M. who traveled to
Beijing and back in 1353 and wrote an account of this for king Karel IV (Jan
z Marignoly, který v Ceské kronice pro Karla IV. vylícil svoji cestu do
Pekingu a zpet do Prahy, kde musil být uz r. 1353.). There's our
Czech-Chinese connection :-)
