I spoke about the VMS with some  friends in Prague and upon mentioning the
names Voynich, Wilfrid and Ethel they said "Oh, they must be Jewish." Would
this fit with the fact that they left Europe? And would this fit with the
revolutionary tendencies of Mrs. Voynich? (AFAIK "The Gadfly" was made into
a bolshevik propaganda film for which Shostakovich wrote a music score.)
