Excellent, well done! I notice from the frst extract (the "Lusitania")
that Ethel Voynich's address in London is given, 88 Queen's Road in
Richmond, which happens to be not far from where I used to live. Anyway,
there may be records of him (or her) in the Richmond Reference Library
or the Public Records Office in Kew. Unfortunately I can't say when I'm
going to be in the area to have a look, perhaps in the summer. If any of
the Londoners on the list are in the area, the Reference Library is on
Hill Street, near the main Post Office. May be worth a look ...
Cheers,
Greg
PS. I was in Toronto for a month before Christmas, hence my VMS research
has been even slower than the usual slow. However, I did see the 'James
son of Joseph brother of Jesus' ossuary on display in the Royal Ontario
Museum. I must say my impression was that it was rather smaller than I
expected, and as for the inscription, well, I needed a lot of imagination
to match it to the transcript they had printed on the wall. At least we
can _see_ the characters in the VMS ;)
