VMs: Note on the Solar Eclipse

Many thanks to Osmar, and Prof. Varella for the
elcipse chart for 14 December 1583.

It was visible, wholly or partially, in Russia and
China, but apparently not at all in Prague. So
the weak evidence linking the Author to that
city has disappeared.
