Hello Joh. and Welcome,
Good input. Thank you.
"oladabas" is an interesting 'word'. "ladabas" looks and sounds like a
Spanish word. I was inclined to think of the English word "laud" or "praise" but
this doesn't seem to work. My wife, who is from Nicaragua, doesn?t recognize
"ladabas" but points out that "la dabas" is Spanish for "you give it", though
she prefers to say "le dabas" ("la dabas" also works in Spanish). The
letter "o" by itself in Spanish translates to "or" in English. So we
could convert "oladabas" into "or you give it". You suggest combining the "n"
and "o" to make "no" which will also work in Spanish as "no la dabas" for "you
do not give it".
Regards,
Dana Scott
