Re: VMs: off the top of your head

I have been trying to attack it the same way. While I have found character frequency counts for various languages I have not found word frequency counts. I think that is mostly due to the differences in texts. For instance, an astronomical text might find "star" very frequently while that would not appear much (or at all) in other texts.

I did a word frequency on the first few chapters of Alice in Wonderland and got

the	87
she	73
to	71
and	56
was	52
a	52
of	41
it	41
her	24
in	24
very	23
I	23
Alice	22
that	22
had	19
for	17
you	17
but	16
not	15
little	15
on	14
down	14
be	13
or	12
as	12
so	12
it,	11
up	11
with	11
at	11
like	11
out	10
all	10
if	10
this	10

Have been driven to try brute force machine attack - need to
teach machine what to look for.

Would anyone know the four or five most frequently occuring
four and five letter words in (16C)

   English
   Latin
   French
   German
   etc.

or where to find them ?

    Thanks in advance

      Chris
