That would be Shannon's algorithm for generating a second-order
approximation (a second-order word monkey, as we called it here
many years ago already).
But look at the beginning:
Iraqi may borrow a the Prime Blair
The sequence "a the" can never occur in English, so it cannot
be the output of a second-order monkey. I just did a frequency
count, using NoteTab (nice editor, you can pick up a free
copy at http://www.notetab.com). I still do not know what
to make of the results. I think "first-order" when I see:
a: 27, admired: 1, and: 9, appear: 1, around: 1
But further down the list:
Blair : 6, bollocks:7, bolly: 4, borrow:1,
bounce: 5, bum: 9
That no longer makes sense.
