Re: VMs: Regal Eagle



Hmmm,

somewhere in the archives there should be at
least one more reference to heraldry. The
well-known page in the bio section with the
nymph being eaten by a fish (f79v)
also has some heraldic animals in or near
the same pond (at least in my opinion):
bottom left: salamander
bottom right: lion
Bove the lion: golden fleece
Left of the lion: anybody's guess

Would the golden fleece help dating the MS?
