Hi everyone,

See Colin Wilson's "The Mind Parasites," a Lovecraftian novel involving
the Voynich Manuscript as a clue to an extraterrestrial race.

It's been thought of. {:-)

I also forgot to mention that my old friend Charles Cecil managed to weave the Voynich and the Templars (along with pyramids-as-ancient-energy machines, IIRC... don't ask) into the backstory of his company's (Revolution Software) recent "Broken Sword 3" computer game. IIRC, the masons and the Rosicrucians were all in the mix somewhere, and the VMS was used as a plot device To Transmit Ancient Knowledge Through The Ages (stop me if you've heard it before). :-)

FWIW, I'd been researching the Templars for a (part-contemporary, part-historical) novel I was planning (and still haven't found time to write) - we'd met up for a picnic at a local history reconstruction day at Temple Bruer (including a very cool Templar vs Hospitaller sword fight), and so Charles asked me to critique his pseudo-history / pseudo-science... though I'd fleetingly heard of the VMS before then, that's the point where I thought I might try to crack it... a bad mistake! :-)

Hmmm... I've been meaning to send him my copy of the Mentorn BBC4 documentary - shame on me for continually forgetting to do that (if you're reading this, Charles, I will *honestly* try to do that at the end of this week... once I've met my MBA assignment deadline). :-(

Cheers, .....Nick Pelling....
