Faking the vms as a proof of concepts of logic of thought? What for? Writing a
letter to the Royal Society would be much more persuasive and taken more
seriously.
Since you joined very recently this list you missed a recent long thread on
the possibility of Voynich himself writing the vms. This was suggested by
Gerry Kennedy in the recent BBC/Mentorn tv programme, but I believe that
Gerry does not think that the conspiracy/Voynich hoax theory holds much water
anymore. (Note that the tv programme is more than 6 months old.)
Why? Because there are a number of letters (by Marci, Barschius and Kinner) in
the Carteggio Kircheriano that talk about this coded book and they were kept
separate from the vms. It is *very* unlikely that Voynich could have had
access to these at the time of his visit to Mondragone. You can see the
letters in the net if you subscribe to the Kircher Correspondence project.
These are now indexed in a searchable database. The correspondence access
numbers are in the Voynich Timeline in my evmt page and there have been some
English translations of the letters (in Rene's site and another one I can't
remember, sorry, but it is all in the mailing list archive).
Cheers,
Gabriel
