By this method the label beneath Aldebaran would translate as "dceosdao"...which does not make any sense to me but I guess a key for the first page need not be a key for later pages if it were a simple substitution cipher in multiple languages.  Unless dceosdao actually means something in this weird mixture too.

an late Albigensian text in a mixture of Spanish, French, Maya
(it all figures so far), and Polynesian (a bit weird, but
the Spaniards were in the Pacific in the late 16th century--
so it's quite sensible, isn't it?)
