This is not quite accurate in my view. There are 21 glyphs in the Enochian
alphabet, but the glyph for "i" (gon) doubles for "i" and "y", bringing the
represented alphabet to 22. What isn't explained is that Liber Logaeth,
supposedly a text that was to be rendered in Enochian, contains a Latin
alphabet of 24, our standard minus the "j" and the "w" (if memory serves
correctly). One could argue that the representation in Liber Logaeth of "u"
and "v" are the same character and just the choice of the transcriber as to
which one he wished to write, and the same for "i" and "y", but the
inclusion of the "k" into Liber Logaeth appears to go totally unexplained.
When it's all said and done, the Enochian 21-glyph alphabet appears to
double for a 24 letter standard Latin alphabet. I'm confused.........

But I do see what you mean, and some Porta wheels had only 20 characters, if
I remember correctly. A 21 letter alphabet gives us 17 consonants and 4
vowels, so why do I like that number? Hmmm... (The "v" is a consonant that
also doubles as a "u", but is considered as a consonant before considering
the aspirant).
