Hi Jeff,
you are new to this list and would not know that
there are some old and forgotten tools around.
In fact quite a lot of people would be unfamiliar
with Bitrans and VTT. The former lets you
translate Voynich MS transcription files from
one transcription alphabet to another (and quite
a bit more than that). The latter takes a
transcription file and strips off all comments
etc. (among other things). You can start from
the interlinear file at Jorge Stolfi's web
site. The tools can be picked up from Gabriel's
web site.
Bitrans was written by Jacques Guy and runs in
DOS (probably also in Windows :-) ).
VTT was written by me and runs in DOS (Win) and
Unix. The C code is also available, but I remember
that Stolfi found a bug in it which made it not
very portable.
If you're interested, and once you've picked up
these files and run into problems, feel free to
get in touch again.
Cheers, Rene
