I think this is the first occurence of the word "shaman" on this list.

But IMHO this does not add up with your geographical guess. European
shamanism is centered around the northern, mycophilic, amanita-eating
cultures of Scandinavia and Russia, extending all the way into Siberia. I
never heard of southern european shamanism, but I'd be delighted to learn
more ...
