	Here I used the term "shamanistic" in a very general
sense.  I 
was thinking of leader(s) of the subculture who would
take European 
folklore and esoteric thought and synthesize it
creatively, probably 
using alternate states of consciousness, 
although without the use of hallucinogens.  I wasn't
thinking of 
Northern traditions at all.  

	I also like the idea that the VMs is "outsider art",
art 
produced by someone marginal and/or with a psychiatric
disorder.
