these people don't move around alone... ...if a late hoax, this is probably a 
collective chef d'oevre, something to be proud of...
(you see - everyone, everyone is proud of what he is doing)

one man could make the plan, give the outlines for pictures,
another write some text in "normal" alphabet
the third could create the alphabet
so, the actual writing was probably quite easy


V. was just seller of rare books (hoaxes?).
I think, fabricating counterfeit stuff 
was a professional work in V. days, like
it is today - and secret services, could they be involved with
all there know-how?

Extra bonus: All this lets pretty much room for some
hard-to-brake ciphertext inside it, OK?

Well, let us take it easy - this is just 1 working hypothesis.
But not at "zero gravity" in outer space.
I personally would give it 10-20% likelihood.

We just need some physical test, to make these efforts reasonable.
