yes that could be correct.
but (assuming that each page with a drawing from the herbal section
describes
this plant) i think that the characteristics of a plant are described in the
text, because:
writing a book in this time was a big effort and expensive, so an author
would take every effort possible to keep a book as exact as possible. and so
i think if the drawings where the only spot where the characteristics of a
plant where outlined that would be much to weak. one would not rely on such
a thing and one would also describe them in the text because he would always
try to ensure that the information will be available as long as possible and
wont
be blurred or bleached over time. otherwise if the drawings where the only
place where the characteristics where hidden one would draw them as correct
as possible, like a technical drawing without artistical expression.
