Something that I have been thinking about is that if some character are indeed 
abbreviations, then there are too few of those. However one could increase 
the number by making them location-sensitive. For example EVA <y> could mean 
different things if it is written at the beginning or the end of a word. 
Another candidate for this is <o>, but who knows!
