Exactly - I was only saying that it is not necessary
to support all encodings, as these can be easily
converted outside MONKEY, so that she is fed with
Unicode plain text files only. I believe this would
save a lot of programming for Jacques - but I may well be
mistaken if there are ready to use libraries to support
different encodings and file formats (such as RTF).
One more thought would be to assign EVA characters
and/or other VMS transcription symbols to the Private Use Area
in Unicode.
