RE: VMs: Question 1b

For at least part of the VMS, the writer may have been concerned with the menstrual cycle, conception, and birth, and treatments of maladies thereof. Wasn't this subject a taboo during that time? It might be a good reason to keep it secret.
 
Medicinal plants used on women and tied with time periods determined by the heavens. Hmmm. And babies...

Yes, I do think there is a link - plants needed for the pharmacy used on women in certain ways at certain times in the astrological year.
