Jeff's approach posits a different substitution alphabet for each preceding EVA letter. However, ATM he appears to have substantially more information encoded in his set of tables than in his plaintext, which (IMO) would seem to rather defeat the object of the exercise. :-o


Structurally, though, this may well be one possible route to a solution - though probably not while it relies on EVA as its underlying transcription. :-(
