It is the earliest alchemical text in German (or one
of two earliest, the other being Buch des Heilige
Dreifachtigkeit) and has its own entry in _Lexikon
des Mittelalters_ - but I have not got a copy of it
so cannot give more details at the moment. I don't
think, however, it would have much (if anything)
in common with the VMS.
